Nigdi, Minor Asia In Nigdi, Asia Minor, teacher Grigoris Konstandinidis, falls in love with the art of confectionery and decides to set up the first ‘sweet shop’.

1923

Asia Minor Disaster The Asia Minor Holocaust drives the Konstandinidis family to Larisa.

1925

Lazaros and Stelios Konstandinidis Lazaros Konstandinidis works and learns from top Greek pastry chefs and famed French patisseurs. It’s there that that he learns the art of the ‘thousand sheets’ (mille-feuille), the famous millefeuille.

1928

Panagouli Street He opens the first modern pastry shop, named ‘Kypseli’ in Larisa, on Panagouli 4 Str. It has remained in the same address ever since.

1954

The famous.. Konstandinidis family creates their own millefeuille recipe. Since then, Napoleon’s favorite dessert and the name Konstandinidis are closely associated.

1963

Grigoris Konstandinidis Under the instructions of Grigoris Konstandinidis, young confectioners prepare sweet tastes.

1979

The ‘Family’ grows up.. End of an era for the famous ‘Kypseli’. The family decides to expand and the powerful ‘Konstandinidis’ brand goes up on the marquee.

1983

Blessing ceremony Blessing ceremony of the store in Larissa.

1990

Award Awards for distinguished students to celebrate 65 years of the presence of the company.

1992

Athens Athens gets its first Konstandinidis pastry shop and the capital city fall in love with Konstandinidis ‘thousand sheets’.

1994

Award Lazaros Konstandinidis receives an award for his contribution from the confectioners club.

1999

Thessaloniki In a city like Thessaloniki, which has a fine tradition in pastry, the first Konstandinidis pastry shop opens, and said tradition becomes complete.

2005

Volos Volos gets its first Konstandinidis pastry shop.

2009

Five senses The delightful satisfaction of all five senses, becomes literal. In every Konstandinidis pastry shop, a tailed piano is added, and virtuosi soloists excite the customers.

2011

Ice cream Award Konstandinidis ice cream wins both the first prize in Greece and Europe, getting this distinction from the Italian Ice Cream Academy.

2012

Alimos Award for Best Retail Store, for the Alimos, Athens shop.

2014

Our 21st store opens The 21st Konstandinidis Pastry store opens on 3 Stadiou Str, Syntagma, Athens.
